About Me

About Me

With more than 15 years of experience in the industry, I’m still as passionate about creating as I was on day one. I can honestly say that coming up with creative ways to make your brand stand out is what gets me out of bed in the morning and keeps me up late at night. I never stop problem solving because I love seeing my clients’ excitement when I bring an idea to life. With that said, I also love to learn. I graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. After a few years in the real world, I went for round two at The Art Institute of Charlotte to receive a Certificate of Web Design. Beyond a classroom setting, I also pride myself in staying on top of the latest trends and mastering new skills. From a personal standpoint, I appreciate music, I like being outdoors, and I’m a Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys, and Tennessee Titans fan—in that order. Other than that, I enjoy hanging out with friends and spend a lot of time in front of my computer (as you would expect).

Skills and Experience

Skills And Experience

I’m a professional Graphic Designer with experience in a variety of industries, including non-profit, financial services, and small businesses. If you’re wondering about the benefits of hiring a professional on a freelance basis, consider this. I’m also an award-winning designer with accolades for individual projects as well as for my portfolio. The list of software I’m current in includes Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, CSS, HTML, Quark, Flash, ActionScript, Fireworks, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and various social media. I’m also eagerly looking for opportunities to work in HTML5 and PHP, and I’m actively exploring the intricacies of designing for mobile and tablets.

The Process

The Process

There is no one-size-fits-all solution or budget, so my approach is flexible based on your unique set of needs. You’ll receive a detailed outline of my process should you decide to work with me, but the main three components are to:

I’m here to help—and the best way for me to help is to understand your needs. We will thoroughly discuss your goals and ideas, as well as any specifics you’re looking for. You’ll then receive a proposal outlining the scope of the project, including the expectations, deliverables, and approximate timeline.

After the proposal is approved, I’ll start the creation process by providing you with some design options for review. We’ll then go over your feedback and refine the overall direction. Depending on the scope of the project, the rounds of revisions will vary.

When a final design is approved, the execution phase of the project will go underway until a logo is born, a brand identity is polished, or a website is live on the Internet.

My helper, OscarOscar is my work partner and creative genius. He helps keep me on track when working and let’s me know when it’s time to take a break. The break usually align with him needing a walk or to be fed.
